Blake and I met on a Saturday in the Summer of 2022. It was at the Watershed Country Music Festival at The Gorge, and after sharing only a few hours of country music together, we went our separate ways, enjoying the rest of the festival with our friends. In the following weeks we reconnected over social media and Blake asked me to go with him to a Trace Adkins concert. The spark ignited and from that night on we took every chance we could to get together. Over the next 5 months I found myself driving home from Pullman almost every weekend, rain, snow, or shine, just to spend time with Blake.
It was December of the same year when Blake asked me on, what he thought, would be an exciting date. He wanted me to ride up to Baker City and back with him to pick up snowmobile parts. Exhilarating, I know. After 6 hours of driving, we returned to Sunnyside and Blake officially asked me to be his girlfriend. I'm not sure if it was the 5 amazing months of time spent together every weekend that sold him on me or if it was the fact I was perfectly content spending my first day of winter break on a long car ride listening to his snowmobile stories. Either way, I was thrilled and we officially started dating on December 15th, 2022. Turns out any date can be exciting when its with the right person. I continue to enjoy all our adventures together, whether it be exploring the mountains in the winter or keeping each other company in the tractor on long harvest days. Nothing feels complete unless I've shared it with him, and I look forward to a lifetime of hearing Blake's stories.
